Dan Daly comes from a proud, Canadian, woodworking family. Dan remembers both his father and grandfather as constantly building and working on beautiful and functional objects with wood from their family farm. Dan has been in the turning and machining trade for 25 years, and uses his technical experience to bring his creative ideas to life.
At Dragonfly Woodturnings, we are very grateful for nature's beauty. In order to preserve this beauty and the abundance of our environment, we are committed to doing our part to preserve our environment. One of the small ways that we do this is by donating 100% of our wood chips to local families and schools for use as garden mulch.
Each composition that Dan creates is hand turned, polished, and buffed by Dan himself. Individual pieces can take up to nine months to complete. Every piece is numbered and logged with all pertinent information recorded (type of wood, where salvaged from, etc...) as it is added to the collection. You will receive a description of your bowl or vessel upon purchase, in case you forget what kind of wood that your vessel is made of or where it came from.
